“ The service was just as good as the food. We highly recommend it. The butter chicken was THE. BEST. butter chicken I've ever had. The staff were all great to my grandchildren. If we visit the area again we will definitely return. ”
“ The food was very good. I will come back to try more dishes as the menu was interesting; not just the standard offerings. The ambience was good. Trendy decor. We went for an early lunch and people began steadily drifting in. I can't remember what I ordered but it was very good. I was able to get a child's portion of the main dish fortunately. It was very large. Enough for two adults! Good thing I didn't eat a lot of the appetizer as it was large as well. I definitely will return. ”
“ Came in on a Saturday night, and we were seated right away. We also called beforehand to check on the wait time. The server was very friendly and gave us some recommendations. He also checked in regularly. The spicy indian mojito was amazing, 10/10! I wanted to try something different, and I was a little hesitant on what the tamarind + ginger combo would be like for a mojito, but I'm glad I tried it! The food, overall, was good. I would probably give a higher rating if there was an option to add some spice to the dishes. We weren't asked, so not sure if it's possible. We still enjoyed everything though! ”
“ We have been meaning to try Urban Turban for a bit and finally ordered some takeout. All of the food was tasty! We ordered samosas, garlic naan, kadai paneer, and chicken tikka masala. The main dishes were enough for at least 2 meals and each came with rice. We tried mild for one dish and medium for the other. The medium had good spice to it and was not too spicy! I'd go with medium again! ”
“ A very good Indian restaurant, and head and shoulders above the other local Indian places. I spent several years in the UK, where there are great Indian options on almost every street. Upon returning to NC, it's the only cuisine I wasn't able to find comparable or better options. Urban Turban was my first local Indian experience that I would say could survive in a more competitive market. Everything I ordered had a lot of depth and flavor, the ingredients were high quality and the menu had options beyond the trite regulars. I shared the chicken lollipops as a starter, it was in a great sauce and much more interesting than your normal starter. The goat rara was even better, tender piece of goat in a sauce that I could best describe as an Indian goat bolognese, very, very flavorful and enjoyable. The portions were also very filling and the service was efficient. I will also add it's a nice restaurant to eat in, not a take out feel. ”
“ I consider this place a but of a hidden gem just because it is very unassuming from the street. Make no mistake though this is an excellent Indian restaurant with a great staff that will accommodate your request. I ordered without even looking at the menu and got the meal I wanted. Drinks are also good with a few cocktails and a decently equipped bar which is somewhat unique in the realm of good Indian food options in the triangle. Overall if you are in this area and want to take a bit of time to enjoy your meal I highly recommend! ”
“ I enjoyed my first visit to Urban Turban Indian Restaurant last night. The atmosphere was lovely and good for date night, groups, and friends. The servers were pleasant and just the right amount of attentive. I went with a friend and we both enjoyed the dishes, flavors, and relaxed atmosphere. They have a decent wine and beverage menu and plenty of food options. The prices are competitive with other local Indian restaurants. I will definitely return! ”
“ I came with two friends on a quiet Monday lunch period. The place looked fairly new with lounge-style seating and a bar at the back. I browsed their extensive menu and decided to try something new. One friend got chicken biryani while my other friend and I got saag. He got chicken saag, and I got goat saag. The juices from the goat meat enhanced the flavor of my saag to where my other friend wished he got goat meat. The portions are quite large. The three of us took home about half our plates. Our table service was rather cold but the food is worth it. That was some of the best Indian food I've eaten in a while. ”
